Creative Writing: a @Jeremycshipp experience…

Okay so Jeremy C Shipp, he’s a guy that writes books.  Even has his own website with testimonials from people like the great Jack Ketchum who screwed my head up with The Girl Next Door, I’ve not read another book since that.  So disturbed by it all, that and I’m just so lazy it sometimes hurts to open my eyes.

Jeremy has decided to do his own creative writing courses for $99 and guess what, I’ve signed up.  It might motivate my lazy arse to either continue on with my Zombie story or just begin something new, that’s been brewing in my noggin for the past couple of weeks. I just hope the man can deal with my bad grammar and punctuation.  My mind is sooo creative, I have ideas one second and they’re gone the next, I never plan, I never focus.  It’s like doodling with words.

I’m sending you this email because you’ve shown interest in my online creative writing course, which I’m calling the “Yard Gnome Army Fiction Writing Boot camp.”

Details about the class:

This fun, intensive 8-week course is perfect for writers who want to hone their craft and polish their work for publication. Through writing exercises, lectures, and feedback from your instructor and fellow classmates, you will grow as an author and refine your own unique voice and style. After you finish the course, your muse will thank you with a dinner and a movie.

The course will consist of the following activities:

-Read lectures spawned by your instructor’s twisted mind that explore the craft and business of writing

-Write one short story

-Write one first chapter of a novel

-Present your work for critique by instructor and classmates

-Rewrite the story and chapter

-Complete imaginative and challenging writing exercises every week

This course will utilize a state-of-the-art online classroom, where instructor and students can communicate easily and effectively.

The class will start January 3, 2010 and end February 27, 2010.

The price for the course is $99.
