Eastwick Witches in Meltdown…

… No, there were no buckets of water thrown on the ladies but ABC has stripped the Eastwick residents of any magic and chosen not to order any additional episodes of the new supernatural drama/comedy.

For me and I will admit this, I was enjoying the show. Sure it took a brilliant movie and stretched the storyline out over the length of a TV Season but “The Witches Of Eastwick” could have so many more stories to tell and I think that’s what this show was setting out to do after the initial story was told. Let’s face it, a movie from the 80′s is not going to be on the agenda for a night in, in front of the tv for the generation of today. The majority (not that the majority tuned in) probably think Eastwick is an original concept.

At least unlike the marvelous FOX Networkwho have a habit of dropping shows mid season ala Tru Calling season two, Eastwick will finish it’s 13 episode run on ABC.

C’est La Vie, goodbye my guilty pleasure… goodbye.
